Sevilla have extended their congratulations to Jerome Adams Akor after he received his first call-up to the Super Eagles.
The forward was named in Nigeria’s 23-man squad by head coach Eric Chelle for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho’s Crocodiles and Benin Republic’s Squirrels on Friday.
Akor, a former junior international, is among the nine strikers selected by Chelle.
The 24-year-old recently opened his season’s goal account for Sevilla in their clash with Rayo Vallecano last weekend.
Sevilla took to social media to celebrate the achievement, posting, “Congrats to Akor Adams who has been called up by Nigeria for the first time!”
