Rwanda’s national team, the Amavubi, kicked off their preparations in Uyo on Wednesday with a light training session at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
Head coach Adel Amrouche supervised the exercise, which had all 24 invited players fully involved.
The team is expected to step up its build-up with another round of training on Thursday.
The East Africans touched down in Nigeria on Tuesday night, making a brief stopover in Lagos before heading to Uyo, their base for the crucial tie.
Rwanda will face Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Saturday in a matchday seven clash of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
Amrouche’s men currently sit second in Group C with eight points from six matches, one point ahead of the Super Eagles, who are fourth with seven points.
