The directive was contained in a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Information and Culture, Mahmud Dantawasa, who said the governor had instructed the Accountant General to release the funds without delay.
According to the commissioner, the early disbursement is intended to support civil servants and pensioners as they make financial and household arrangements for the holy month.
He explained that the decision reflects the administration’s concern for the welfare of residents observing Ramadan.

He appealed for continued prayers to address security challenges while promoting economic stability and development.
Lawal reaffirmed that his government remains committed to improving the welfare of workers and retirees, stressing that their wellbeing remains a priority of his administration.
