Former Super Eagles head coach Sunday Oliseh has cautioned Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen about making a career misstep amid growing speculation linking the Napoli forward with a surprise return to Turkish club Galatasaray.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Oliseh emphasized that the 26-year-old is at a crucial juncture in his career and must weigh his next move carefully.

“Victor Osimhen is at a very delicate crossroad. He needs to find his way to the Premier League in a hurry or he risks so much regret! Man. United and Arsenal need this player if only…..” Oliseh wrote.

The Nigerian football legend’s advice comes as reports suggest Osimhen is considering a permanent move back to Galatasaray, where he previously excelled during a loan spell, netting 26 goals to fire the club to the Turkish Super Lig title. However, Oliseh believes a switch to England’s top flight would better serve Osimhen’s career progression and global reputation.

At 26, Osimhen’s age is said to be a growing concern in transfer negotiations, with some Premier League clubs hesitant about committing to a big-money deal for the striker. Football insiders suggest further delay in moving to England could diminish his appeal in the highly competitive Premier League market.

Despite having a Napoli contract running until 2026, Osimhen’s future remains in doubt. While the striker was expected to report for pre-season training, Italian media reports indicate new Napoli boss Antonio Conte has no plans to include him in his first-team setup and could even demote him to the youth team.
