Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade made a special visit to the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State on Saturday.
The national team star shared her Women’s Africa Cup of Nations success with members of her faith community during the church’s monthly Power Must Change Hands service.
During the emotional gathering, Ajibade presented her championship medal and individual awards to the General Overseer, Pastor Daniel Olukoya, and his wife as an act of gratitude.
The talented forward attributed her team’s accomplishments to divine grace and protection, explaining that the presentation symbolized her thanks to God for His guidance and safety throughout the tournament.
The congregation gave the outspokenly devout footballer a rapturous welcome, celebrating her victory with enthusiastic applause, uplifting songs and heartfelt prayers. Ajibade’s remarkable WAFCON performance saw her earn three Woman of the Match awards before being crowned Player of the Tournament. Though she scored just once, her leadership and playmaking proved instrumental in Nigeria’s successful campaign for a record-extending 10th WAFCON title.
