Nottingham Forest boss, Nuno Espirito Santo, has confirmed that Super Eagles defender Ola Aina will be sidelined for some time due to a calf injury.

Aina sustained the injury during Forest’s narrow 1-0 triumph over Manchester United at the City Ground on Tuesday.

The setback forced him off the pitch before halftime, with Alex Moreno coming on as his replacement.

The Nigerian international was later seen leaving the stadium on crutches, raising concerns over the severity of his condition.

Providing an update in a press conference, Nuno stated, “He already did the scan, he will be out for a while, he’s not going to be available.”

Acknowledging the impact of Aina’s absence, the Portuguese manager added, “It’s a big blow yeah, we will miss his quality, his talent, the routines he already has with his teammates, we’re gonna miss him. It’s a problem with the calf.”
