Nigeria defender, Igoh Ogbu, has been ruled out of Slavia Prague’s UEFA Champions League showdown against Inter Milan on Tuesday due to injury.
Head coach, Jindrich Trpisovsky, confirmed Ogbu’s absence, revealing the 25-year-old is yet to fully recover from a muscle strain.
Speaking to Efotbal ahead of the clash, Trpisovsky said, “All those who are healthy and on the roster for the Champions League are going.
“We will definitely miss Ogbu and Holeš [Tomas], which is a big hit, but young boys like Tomáš Vlček, David Zima and Štěpán Chaloupek show that they are proficient representatives of these leaders and should replace them well.
“We’ve been through a virus that should be behind us by now. We believe that it will not affect anyone anymore.”
Ogbu has featured four times for Slavia in the Czech top division this season. He was also part of the Super Eagles squad that lifted the Unity Cup in May 2025, and previously represented Nigeria at the 2019 U-20 AFCON and FIFA U-20 World Cup.
