Nigeria’s Eniola Bolaji has continued her impressive run on the international para-badminton circuit after winning the women’s singles SL3 title at the 2026 Peru Para Badminton International in Lima.
The Paralympic bronze medallist produced a commanding performance throughout the tournament, defeating Brazil’s Kauana Beckenkamp 21-12, 21-12 in the final.
Bolaji completed her campaign without losing a single game, winning all four of her matches in straight sets and conceding only 47 points across the competition.
The latest triumph adds to a highly successful 2026 season for the Nigerian, who has already claimed gold in Egypt, while also securing silver at the World Championships in Bahrain and the British & Irish Para-Badminton International.
Bolaji made history at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games as the first African athlete to win a badminton medal at either the Olympic or Paralympic Games.
Her latest success further underlines her growing status in international para-badminton and strengthens Nigeria’s presence on the global stage.
The National Sports Commission congratulated Bolaji, the Badminton Federation of Nigeria, her coaches and support team on what it described as another outstanding performance for the country.
