AC Milan are reportedly eyeing a move for KRC Genk and Nigerian international striker Tolu Arokodare as part of their ambitious summer revamp under returning manager Max Allegri.
With several departures already shaping the window, including Tijjani Reijnders’ move to Manchester City and Theo Hernandez edging closer to a switch to Al-Hilal, the Rossoneri are actively working to balance the books to accommodate new arrivals.
Among those expected to make way is former Liverpool forward Divock Origi. The Belgian has had a disappointing stint in Milan since arriving on a free transfer in 2022.
Despite being contracted until June 2026, Origi’s tenure has been largely underwhelming, following an unsuccessful loan spell at Nottingham Forest, he failed to make a single appearance this past season and was eventually dropped to the youth squad.
The 30-year-old was spotted at the club’s headquarters on Thursday afternoon as he began discussions over a possible contract termination by mutual consent.
However, negotiations are yet to yield a resolution, with the striker reportedly demanding compensation. His annual net salary of €4 million is proving to be a sticking point.
Amid these internal movements, Tuttosport reports that Milan are seriously considering Arokodare as a key attacking reinforcement.
The 24-year-old, who joined Genk from Amiens in January 2023 for €5 million, has impressed with 23 goals and seven assists in 45 appearances across all competitions last season.
Arokodare, who has earned four caps for Nigeria’s Super Eagles, scored his first international goal earlier this month in a 1-1 friendly draw against Russia.
He was also part of the Nigerian squad that lifted the 2025 Unity Cup in London in May.
Adding to his growing reputation, Arokodare rounded off the 2024–25 campaign by claiming the prestigious Ebony Award, solidifying his credentials as one of the top African talents in European football.
