Maharaj Ji urges Nigerians to support Tinubu

The founder of the One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has called on Nigerians across ethnic, religious, and political divides to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Maharaj Ji made the appeal in a statement issued on Friday in Ibadan, Oyo State, where he expressed confidence in the president’s leadership and vision for national development.

“I want to call on Nigerians, irrespective of their tribe, religion, or political inclination, to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027,” he said.

He described Tinubu as a leader with vast experience in global politics, noting that his administration is positioned to deliver long-term progress and stability for the country.

The cleric also weighed in on the controversy surrounding Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, advising the Department of State Services against taking punitive action over his recent comments on the 2027 elections.

According to him, Adeyemo should be seen as an advocate for human rights rather than a threat to national peace.

“Expressing strong opinions on national issues should not automatically attract intimidation or threats of arrest,” Maharaj Ji stated.

He maintained that democracy thrives on freedom of expression, warning that attempts to silence dissenting voices could undermine justice and fairness.

Maharaj Ji further called for calm, urging Nigerians not to politicise the issue but instead embrace dialogue, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.

He also encouraged citizens, especially youths and students, to remain focused and not be distracted by what he described as negative narratives against the president.

“Continuity in leadership will help sustain progress and strengthen unity across the country,” he added.

While congratulating Tinubu on his 74th birthday, Maharaj Ji commended his resilience and efforts in navigating the country through challenging times.
