Super Eagles star, Wilfred Ndidi, is on the verge of a move to Turkish powerhouse Besiktas after Leicester City reportedly turned down a last-minute approach from Spanish club Valencia.

According to reports, the Foxes have accepted a €9.5 million bid from Besiktas for the Nigerian midfielder. Only a few minor formalities remain before the deal is finalized.

Ndidi has agreed to personal terms with the Istanbul club and is expected to undergo a medical this week.

He will link up with former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who recently took charge of Besiktas.

Transfer insider, Ben Jacobs, confirmed that Leicester firmly rejected Valencia’s late effort to secure the 28-year-old’s signature.

The Super Eagles star is set to sign a three-year contract with Besiktas, with an option to extend for an additional year.
