Espanyol secured a 2-0 away win over Osasuna on Saturday, with Roberto Fernández Jaén scoring both goals in the first half of their La Liga clash.
Fernández opened the scoring for the visitors before adding his second to put Espanyol firmly in control before the break.
Osasuna had a goal ruled out after Rubén García found the net, but a VAR review overturned the effort.
The victory lifted Espanyol to seventh place with seven points, while Osasuna dropped to 11th despite having the same number of points.
Espanyol will face Rayo Vallecano on September 15, while Osasuna will take on Atletico Madrid a day later.
