The hosts responded strongly and were awarded a penalty in the 34th minute after Rafita was brought down in the box by Lucas Noubi.
Chupe converted the spot-kick to level the contest.

Malaga continued to dominate possession after the restart and came close to taking the lead, although Deportivo goalkeeper Herrero denied Aubameyang with a smart save.
The hosts missed a huge opportunity in the 76th minute when Chupe headed against the crossbar from close range with the goal at his mercy.
Malaga pressed for a winner late on, but Deportivo’s defence held firm to secure a share of the points.
Aubameyang was named Flashscore’s Man of the Match after another influential display for Deportivo.
The draw also extended Deportivo’s unbeaten record in Monday away matches in LaLiga to six games, comprising three wins and three draws.
