The Kano State Civil Service Commission has dismissed claims circulating online that job application forms are being sold to prospective applicants.
In a statement issued on Sunday by its Director of Public Enlightenment, Musbahu Aminu Yakasai, the commission described the reports as false and misleading.
“The commission noted with concern the circulation of false information suggesting that employment application forms are being sold to prospective job seekers. This claim is entirely untrue and should be disregarded in its entirety,” Yakasai said.
He stressed that at no time did the commission authorise the sale of application forms for recruitment into the state civil service.
Yakasai urged members of the public to rely only on official government communication channels for accurate information regarding recruitment and other activities of the commission.
“All official announcements will be released exclusively through the appropriate government platforms. For credible and official information, the public is advised to always follow government-approved channels or visit the Kano State Civil Service Commission office at Audu Bako Secretariat, Kano,” he added.
Reiterating the commission’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and due process, Yakasai warned that anyone found defrauding unsuspecting job seekers under the guise of the commission would face prosecution.
“The commission will not hesitate to ensure that those engaging in fraudulent practices are prosecuted in accordance with the law,” he said.
He further advised residents to remain vigilant and avoid dealings with impostors posing as representatives of the commission.
