England captain, Harry Kane, has signed a contract extension with Bayern Munich that will keep him at the German club until 2029.
The 33-year-old striker was approaching the final year of his previous four-year contract, which he signed after completing an £86m move from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023.
Kane has enjoyed an impressive spell since joining the Bundesliga champions, scoring 156 goals in 161 appearances and helping the club win five major trophies.
He also claimed the Bundesliga Player of the Season award for 2024-25.
Speaking after putting pen to paper on his new deal, Kane expressed his delight at extending his stay in Munich, saying he felt settled at the club.
“I feel right at home at FC Bayern. I love the club, the fans and the city of Munich,” he said.
“We have a fantastic team and, in Vincent Kompany, a fantastic manager. It makes me very proud to be part of this club.
“My whole family is very happy here. I was keen to stay. I’m now looking forward to the future and I want to win many more titles with this great club.”
The England forward has also established himself as one of the Bundesliga’s most prolific players, recording 102 goals in 102 league appearances and winning three consecutive Golden Boot awards alongside two league titles.
During the 2025-26 campaign, Kane scored 73 goals in 65 appearances for club and country.
His outstanding performances also earned him the world’s best male player award at last month’s Ballon d’Or ceremony.
At international level, Kane remains England’s all-time leading goalscorer, with 73 goals, and has equalled Peter Shilton’s record of 125 appearances for the national team.
He further strengthened his international record at this summer’s World Cup, scoring six times to become England’s highest goalscorer in the competition’s history, with 14 goals in 18 appearances.
Kane joined Bayern in 2023 after spending several successful years at Tottenham, where he established himself as one of Europe’s leading strikers but failed to win a major club trophy.
