Bayern Munich chief executive officer, Jan-Christian Dreesen, has expressed confidence that England captain Harry Kane will sign a new contract with the German champions, with negotiations reportedly at an advanced stage.
Speaking to Sport Bild on Wednesday, Dreesen said, “I’m very positive! We are working on the details. Harry is fantastic, we’re proud to have the Ballon d’Or winner.”
Kane, who won the 2026 Ballon d’Or on Monday, is finalising negotiations over an extension to his current deal, which expires in the summer of 2027.
The proposed agreement is expected to keep the striker at Bayern Munich until at least 2029, extending his stay at the club beyond the initial terms of his contract.
Since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, the 33-year-old has established himself as a key player for Bayern, delivering impressive goalscoring performances and playing a major role in the team under manager Vincent Kompany.
Both Kane and the club have previously indicated their desire to continue their partnership, with an agreement in principle reportedly reached earlier this month.
The remaining discussions are understood to centre on the final details before the contract extension can be completed.
