Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has revealed that she is no longer interested in getting married again, following her separation from her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, although she says she still hopes to expand her family.
Speaking during a live social media session at a Children’s Day event in Asaba, Delta State, the actress said her outlook on marriage has changed significantly.
“But for some reason, I’ve checked my mind out of getting married,” she said, indicating a shift in her personal priorities.
Despite stepping away from the idea of marriage, Daniels noted that she still desires more children, expressing a strong wish to have a daughter. According to her, motherhood feels incomplete without a female child.
“I’m yet to have a girl. And I must have a girl,” she said, adding that raising a daughter comes with deeper emotional responsibility for a mother.
She further explained her belief that mothers play a central role in shaping daughters, saying, “For your girl child, you have to be that role model for them to emulate.”
Daniels also reflected on her experience as a mother of two sons, noting that her views on parenting have evolved over time. She suggested that emotional attachment to home is often stronger for women.
“Men will grow, get married and focus more on building family. But for women, she will always remember home,” she added.
The actress and Nwoko were married in 2019, a union that attracted public attention due to their age difference.
The marriage later became strained in 2025 amid public allegations and counter-allegations, after which Daniels confirmed she had moved out and was living independently.
She now maintains that she is single and focused on raising her children and personal growth.
