Chelsea defender, Malo Gusto, has emphasized that lifting the Club World Cup trophy on Sunday is his top priority as the Blues prepare for a high-stakes final clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
Chelsea advanced to the final after a commanding 2-0 victory over Fluminense, while PSG stormed past Real Madrid with a stunning 4-0 triumph.
With both teams eyeing global glory, the showdown at MetLife Stadium promises to be intense.
In an interview with Chelsea’s official website, Gusto highlighted the team’s focus and commitment heading into the final.
“It doesn’t matter who we are going to play in the final. We just have to stay focused on ourselves before the final, stick to our plan and give everything.
“The most important thing was to do the job on Tuesday, and now we are focused on trying to win the final and lift the trophy.”
Chelsea will need to be at their sharpest to overcome a PSG side brimming with confidence, especially after their dismantling of Madrid in front of a packed stadium.
Gusto is expected to play a pivotal role in defence, tasked with containing attacking threats like Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
