A Nigerian pastor based in South Africa, John Anosike, has stirred controversy with a prophecy claiming Afrobeats superstar Davido is destined to become Nigeria’s president.
The clergyman asserted that God has anointed the musician to unify the nation and drive economic liberation.
In a viral video, Pastor Anosike made the startling revelation: “A young man in my country who is known for his music… That one God has put his oil on him. He calls him my servant.” The pastor continued, “This is the first time I’m speaking about this publicly. His name is Davido. God said he is my servant. For he shall be president of Nigeria and he shall unite the country.”
Anosike emphasized that despite Davido’s secular music career, he has received divine selection for leadership. The pastor referenced a spiritual vision where he witnessed God anointing the artist by pouring oil on his head, symbolizing his purported political destiny.
The “Unavailable” hitmaker has yet to publicly address the controversial prophecy.
