Former Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos, has reportedly completed a process to become a new owner of La Liga side Sevilla FC.
European transfer expert and Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, made this disclosure on Xhandle on Tuesday.
Romano wrote, “Sergio Ramos complete the process to buy Sevilla and become new club owner.
“The deal is in place with his brother René leading the process too,”
He added that formalities are still pending, “Waiting for official and formal steps with laywers before statement.”
According to the report, the final details of the agreement are yet to be publicly disclosed, but sources indicate that Ramos’ brother, René Ramos, has been leading the negotiations and overseeing the process on his behalf.
At this stage, the deal is described as “practically done,” with only minor legal and administrative steps remaining before an official announcement is made.
Sevilla holds a deep personal connection for Ramos, as it is his boyhood club. He joined their youth academy and broke into the first team in 2002, developing through the ranks before making his senior breakthrough.
In 2005, Ramos left Sevilla to join Real Madrid, where he went on to become captain and one of the most decorated defenders in club football.
He later returned to Sevilla in 2024 for a single season before departing again as a free agent.
The report now suggests that, if finalised, this move would mark a dramatic new chapter in his long-standing relationship with the Andalusian club.
