Inter Milan defender, Denzel Dumfries, has dismissed claims suggesting a rift between Lautaro Martinez and Hakan Calhanoglu.
Reports of tension between the duo surfaced following Inter’s early exit against Fluminense in the Club World Cup round of 16.
Speaking to DAZN today, the Dutch international clarified that any disagreements between Lautaro and Calhanoglu have been resolved.
“I was calm. I know they’re both winners and competitive. They’ve cleared things up with each other and the team.
“We’re staying united, like a family. At Inter, not winning titles isn’t enough; we’re working to raise the bar.”
Dumfries also addressed speculation over his future at the club, confirming he had no intention of leaving Milan this summer.
“It was always clear to me: I wanted to stay at Inter, and I know the club felt the same way. Many have talked about a transfer, but I never had any doubts. I’m very happy here and I want to stay in Milan.”
