Nigeria’s D’Tigers have officially announced their final 12-man roster for this year’s FIBA AfroBasket tournament.

The squad list was revealed on Saturday, via the team’s official X account.

The players selected include Josh Okogie, Caleb Agada, Ike Nwamu, Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu, Talib Zanna, Stan Okoye, and Mike Nuga.

Joining them are Devine Eke, Christian Mekowulu, Martins Igbanu, Ugo Simon, and Emmanuel Omogbo.

The tournament kicks off in Angola on August 12 and will run through August 24.

Placed in Group B, Nigeria will face Tunisia, Madagascar, and Cameroon.

Their campaign begins on August 13 against Madagascar, followed by a match with Tunisia on August 15, and closing group play against Cameroon on August 17.

The D’Tigers’ proudest moment came in 2015 when they clinched their first—and so far only, AfroBasket championship by defeating host nation Angola in the final.

In related news, the Nigerian women’s team, D’Tigress, continued their dominance by securing a historic fifth consecutive AfroBasket title after beating Mali in the final, marking their seventh overall continental triumph and closing the gap on Senegal, who lead with eleven titles.
