Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimarães has been crowned the club’s 2025-26 Player of the Year after a standout individual campaign for the Magpies.
The midfielder earned the honour for the first time, capping a season defined by leadership, decisive contributions, and consistent attacking output despite spending significant time on the sidelines through injury.
He finished as Newcastle United’s top Premier League scorer with nine goals and also led the team in assists with eight.
Even after missing 15 matches, Guimarães still delivered key moments, including a late winner against Fulham and important goals against Tottenham Hotspur, Burnley, Crystal Palace and Leeds United. His total of 17 goal involvements matched his best-ever return from the 2023/24 season.
The Brazilian now joins recent winners such as Dan Burn, Anthony Gordon, Kieran Trippier and Joelinton in claiming Newcastle United’s prestigious internal award.
