Barcelona’s Raphinha has been crowned LaLiga Player of the Season following a sensational campaign in which the Brazilian winger was instrumental in his team’s remarkable domestic treble triumph.
His teammate, teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, was also honoured with the Best Under-23 Player award.
Raphinha, who joined the Catalan giants from Leeds United in 2022, delivered an outstanding performance across all competitions, tallying 34 goals and 25 assists in 57 appearances.
His contributions were pivotal as Barcelona lifted the LaLiga title, Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup.
Now 28, Raphinha recently committed his long-term future to the club by extending his contract through to 2028. One of his standout moments came in the Champions League semi-final second leg against Inter Milan, where he struck late to give Barça the lead.
However, Inter equalized in stoppage time before sealing victory in extra time. That goal marked Raphinha’s 13th in just 14 games in the tournament this season.
Meanwhile, 17-year-old Yamal solidified his status as one of football’s brightest young stars.
Following a breakout season, the winger found the net nine times in LaLiga and added five more goals in the Champions League, further proving his immense potential.
