American fitness influencer and digital creator, Ashton Hall, has named Nigeria as his favourite stop on his recent African tour, describing Lagos as “an African version of Miami.”
Hall made the statement during a livestream on his Kick account after wrapping up his multi-country tour of Africa on Sunday.
Speaking about his experience, the content creator said Nigeria stood out because of its rich culture, warm reception and cuisine, adding that it made the biggest impression on him among all the countries he visited.
“Lagos, Nigeria feels like an African version of Miami. I stayed in Lagos when I was in Nigeria. Their culture, food, I mean I like all of them. Africa is fire,” Hall said.
Despite expressing admiration for Nigeria, Hall said he would rather visit regularly than make the country his permanent home.
“I would definitely come back from time to time, but I don’t think I would live there,” he said.
Hall’s arrival in Nigeria sparked excitement online, with fans, celebrities and fellow content creators welcoming him throughout his stay.
While in Lagos, he met renowned music executive Don Jazzy and collaborated with some of the country’s top streamers and digital creators, generating millions of views across various social media platforms.
Nigeria marked the final destination of Hall’s African tour, which also took him to South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ghana.
Throughout the journey, he documented his experiences by sharing videos highlighting local dishes, tourist attractions, fitness sessions and cultural activities, with each destination attracting significant engagement from his online audience.
His African adventure began in South Africa, where he explored Johannesburg and Cape Town.
He then travelled to Nairobi, Kenya, before heading to Zanzibar in Tanzania. Hall later visited Kigali in Rwanda and Accra in Ghana before ending the tour with several days in Lagos, Nigeria.
Hall gained international recognition through his fitness and motivational content, amassing millions of followers by showcasing his disciplined lifestyle, rigorous workout routines and highly structured early-morning habits.
His signature videos, known for featuring luxury settings, carefully planned morning routines and motivational narration, quickly went viral across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, cementing his status as one of the world’s leading fitness influencers.
His popularity grew even further between 2024 and 2025 as his videos were widely shared, recreated and parodied across social media, making him one of the internet’s most recognisable content creators.
Building on that success, Hall has expanded beyond fitness into live streaming and travel content, with his recent African tour drawing widespread attention and enthusiastic support from fans across the continent.
