Italian Serie A Women’s side AS Roma are considering a potential swoop for Nigeria international Omorinsola Babajide.
Il Romanista reveals that the Giallorosse have shown strong interest in the dynamic winger, who is currently a free agent following her recent departure from Spanish outfit UD Tenerife.
Babajide, 28, is presently representing Nigeria at the ongoing 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where she has made an impressive start, scoring once and assisting another in just two appearances.
The former England youth international, who switched allegiance to Nigeria in 2023, is expected to make a decision on her next club after the tournament concludes.
During her time in Spain, Babajide recorded a solid campaign with Tenerife, bagging 10 goals and five assists in 26 league matches last season.
Her football journey has seen her feature for a number of English clubs, including Crystal Palace, Millwall Lionesses, Watford, Liverpool, and Brighton & Hove Albion.
