Morocco head coach, Walid Regragui, has warned of a stern challenge ahead as his team prepares to face the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Both teams enter the clash unbeaten in the tournament. Nigeria has impressed with five consecutive victories, while Morocco has posted four wins and a draw from their five games.
The Super Eagles garnered praise for their commanding performance in the quarter-final against Tunisia.
“At this stage of the competition, everyone has good players. The feat means nothing to me. We want to make history,” Regragui stated at a pre-match press briefing on Tuesday.
“Tomorrow we face Nigeria, who come with a great sense of confidence. We are focused. This will be an important match in history.”
With both sides coming off a series of physically demanding games, stamina is expected to play a pivotal role. Regragui expressed confidence in his squad’s readiness while remaining mindful of Nigeria’s strengths.
“We are in good physical and mental shape. But we are also up against a team in good form. Tomorrow will be another match, another style too,” he added.
