Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has shuffled his pack ahead of tonight’s Group C encounter against Uganda at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, giving several regular starters a rest.
Francis Uzoho is set to return between the posts for Nigeria, marking his first outing for the national team since the Round of 16 clash with Cameroon at the previous AFCON.
The Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper will anchor a reworked defence that includes a debut start for Ryan Alebiosu at right-back.
Alebiosu will line up alongside Igoh Ogbu, Calvin Bassey and Bruno Onyemaechi in the back four, as Chelle tests new combinations at the rear.
In midfield, Raphael Onyedika partners Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, providing balance and energy in the centre of the park.
Nigeria’s attacking unit remains strong, with Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze operating from the flanks, Paul Onuachu leading the line and Victor Osimhen completing the forward setup.
Super Eagles XI vs Uganda:
Uzoho; Alebiosu, Igoh, Bassey, Onyemaechi; Onyedika, Dele-Bashiru; Chukwueze, Onuachu, Simon; Osimhen.
