The Confederation of African Football has dismissed claims that fans are being allowed free access to venues at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Attendance at several match centres has been noticeably low, with large crowds mainly recorded when host nation Morocco’s Atlas Lions are in action.
Speculation had circulated that CAF, working alongside the Local Organising Committee, approved free entry into stadiums in response to the poor turnout.
However, the continental body has firmly denied the reports.
CAF urged supporters to continue purchasing tickets via approved platforms, stressing that no such directive exists.
“Reports of free entry are completely false. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets through official channels to attend the matches,” the statement read.
