130 Nigerians airlifted from Sudan

No fewer than 130 Nigerians have been airlifted by Tarco Airline at Port Sudan.

According to Channels TV, the Nigerians include 128 females and 2 males.

It was reported that the plane left Port Sudan International Airport today at 8:00 am with a flight time of 7hrs 30min, while it is estimated to arrive in Abuja between 2:30 pm and 3 pm.

Nigerians in Sudan have been stranded following the war that erupted in the area.

The clashes in Sudan are between the Sudanese Armed Forces, led by Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and the Rapid Support Forces paramilitary group, led by Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.

PUNCH METRO reported on Wednesday that three hundred and sixty four Nigerian evacuees from crisis-ridden Sudan, landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
