Nollywood actor and film producer, Kunle Afod, has opened up on his separation from his wife, Desola Afod, citing jealousy, allegations of infidelity and the demands of his acting career as issues that affected their marriage.
The actor disclosed this during an interview with YouTube personality Kasnasty Sugar, where he was asked about the circumstances surrounding the separation from his wife, popularly known as Celeb Wife.
Afod’s comments come months after reports of a marital crisis between the couple emerged on social media in February 2026.
The development followed reports that Desola had moved her belongings out of their matrimonial home. At the time, neither party had publicly provided a detailed explanation of the situation.
Speaking during the interview, Afod acknowledged that the demands of his profession sometimes affected his ability to spend time with his family, while also making remarks about jealousy and infidelity in relationships.
“Separation from my wife? This job is heavy to the extent that we sometimes don’t have time for our home.
“Did you want to hear? To all the women here, my apologies please. I need to beg you guys first before I talk about my separation. Women believe that men cheat but no man can cheat with a tree or wood. Men cheat with women. It’s easier for women to be lesbian than men to be gay.
“So, if you have a wife who is too close to a female friend, the husband will also suspect her. You are in trouble because they cheat more in that level than having it with the opposite sex. It’s easy for a woman to convince her husband to buy her dildo, she will tell you that she doesn’t want to cheat on you. She would buy up to three dildos.
“Why is she not satisfied with just one dildo? That can also be referred to as adultery too. The same woman that has the confidence to use dildo won’t take it lightly when she caught her husband using sex toys.”
The actor’s remarks have further shed light on the marital crisis, which had remained largely unaddressed publicly by the estranged couple since the reports surfaced.
Afod and Desola’s relationship had previously attracted public attention, with the couple often appearing together on social media.
His latest disclosure has now provided an insight into some of the issues he believes contributed to their separation.
