President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Publisher of BusinessDay newspaper, Frank Aigbogun, on his forthcoming 70th birthday, scheduled for Sunday, November 1.
Tinubu, in a congratulatory message personally signed on Saturday, praised Aigbogun for his contributions to journalism and business reporting in Nigeria.
The President described the media entrepreneur as a distinguished journalist whose work had helped shape public discourse, particularly on economic issues.
“I commend him for his commitment to responsible journalism and for providing a platform for insightful analysis of economic policies, investment opportunities, and developments that shape Nigeria’s business environment,” the President said.
Tinubu noted that Aigbogun had played an important role in strengthening credible business journalism, describing it as an essential tool for national development.
He also encouraged experienced media professionals such as Aigbogun to continue contributing to the country’s institutional growth, particularly as Nigeria implements economic reforms.
“I believe experienced media professionals such as Frank must remain invaluable contributors to Nigeria’s institutional development and the advancement of business journalism, at a critical time, as our nation undergoes economic reforms.”
Aigbogun established BusinessDay in 2001 as a daily newspaper focused on business and financial reporting.
The publication has since expanded its coverage to include economic analysis, investment opportunities and policy developments.
The President wished the publisher good health, renewed strength and greater achievements in the years ahead as he marks the milestone birthday.
