Nigerian businessman, Tony Elumelu, has sent wedding presents to Nigerian singer Zlatan Ibile and his partner, Davita Lamai, following their traditional wedding celebrations.
The gifts arrived in packages bearing the branding of Heirs Holdings, with handwritten messages conveying congratulations and goodwill to the couple.
Among the inscriptions on the packages were “Zlatan, well done”, “Our wife”, “Congrats” and “Zlatan”. Elumelu also signed the packages with his initials, “TOE”, identifying himself as the sender.
Zlatan acknowledged the gesture on his Instagram story on Monday, tagging Elumelu’s account and adding a love emoji in appreciation of the presents.
The gesture comes after the singer, whose real name is Omoniyi Raphael, shared traditional wedding photographs with his partner ahead of their ceremony.
The music star posted the pictures on his official Instagram page with the caption, “IT’s TIME TO MARRY”.
The announcement attracted congratulatory messages from celebrities, fans and other well-wishers.
Among those who reacted was influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa, who wrote, “Love is a beautiful thing! Congratulations to the Omoniyi’s”. Comedian and skit maker Samuel Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, also wrote, “Congratulations”.
The couple had earlier announced their wedding date in a video posted on October 8.
Guests spotted at the ceremony included fashion entrepreneur Seyi Vodi, singer Young John, actress Iyabo Ojo, influencer Papaya Ex, singer Lil Kesh, Teni Makanaki and Ms DSF.
