Daniel Maldini continued his nomadic Serie A career on Monday, scoring his first goal for Cagliari in their 1-0 home victory over Lecce.
The 24-year-old midfielder broke the deadlock to give Fabio Pisacane’s side all three points and move Cagliari up to ninth position after three matches of the 2026/27 Serie A season.
The goal also added another club to Maldini’s growing list of Serie A teams he has scored for.
Maldini has now found the net for six different clubs in Italy’s top flight — Milan, Spezia, Monza, Atalanta, Lazio and Cagliari.
According to Opta, no player has scored for as many different Serie A clubs as Maldini since he made his first appearance on the league’s scoresheet.
His first top-flight goal came in September 2021, when he scored for Milan in a 2-1 away victory over Spezia.
Despite having also played for Empoli, Maldini has yet to score for the club.
His latest strike against Lecce further underlines a career that has seen him move between several Serie A clubs despite being only 24.
