Nollywood actress and producer, Temitope Osoba, will be laid to rest in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
The actress’ family announced the burial arrangements in an obituary shared on her official Instagram page on Monday.
According to the family, Osoba’s remains will be moved from the Ogun State University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, at 9am, ahead of the burial service scheduled for 10am.
The service will take place at Akesan Club, opposite Iperu Morning Market, Iperu Remo, while her interment will follow immediately at the Iperu Remo Cemetery.
The family stated, “Body leaves OSUTH Sagamu by 9am. Burial service Thursday 10th of September, 10:00am–11:00am, Akesan Club opposite Iperu Morning Market, Iperu Remo.”
It further announced, “Interment: Iperu Remo Cemetery ground, immediately after burial service,” adding that mourners should wear white.
Osoba, popularly known as Tope Osoba, died in August 2026 at the age of 40.
She was a prominent figure in the Yoruba-language film industry and had spent almost two decades acting and producing movies, including Oogun Mi.
The actress had previously spoken publicly about her battle with breast cancer and sought financial assistance for treatment and surgery. In August 2025, she announced that she had recovered and was returning to the movie industry, describing the period as a time of healing and personal renewal.
Questions surrounding the circumstances of her death have, however, generated differing accounts from her fiancé and family members.
Her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, alleged that she died after being taken to a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos, while members of her family reportedly provided a different account of her final moments.
The conflicting narratives prompted calls for further investigation, with actor Yomi Fabiyi among those who demanded an autopsy to establish the cause and circumstances of her death.
Following her demise, Osoba’s family cautioned against spreading unverified information and urged the public to rely on statements issued through its official channels.
Her burial was initially planned for August 13 but was postponed indefinitely.
The family has now confirmed September 10 as the new date for her final rites.
