Arca Çorum FK recorded a landmark victory in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday, defeating Eyüpspor 3-0 at Çorum City Stadium.
The result marked Çorum FK’s first-ever win in the Turkish top flight, having gained promotion to the Super League for the first time this season.
Çorum made a bright start and took the lead in the sixth minute when Alexandros Kiziridis found the net.
The hosts doubled their advantage in the 27th minute through Andrei Borza, giving them a comfortable 2-0 lead at the break.
Eyüpspor struggled to mount a response after the restart as Çorum FK remained firmly in control.
The home side eventually sealed the emphatic victory in the 88th minute, with Ermin Mahmic scoring the third goal.
Çorum FK had gone without a win in their opening three league matches, but Sunday’s convincing performance moved them to four points.
Eyüpspor, meanwhile, remain on three points after four matches.
Çorum FK will look to build on the historic victory when they travel to face Samsunspor next weekend, while Eyüpspor will host Çaykur Rizespor.
