Bayern rule out Michael Olise’s summer exit

Bayern Munich have once again made it clear that Michael Olise is not for sale despite continued speculation linking the France international with a move away from the club.

Olise, 24, has emerged as one of Europe’s standout performers since arriving at Bayern in July 2024. He enjoyed a sensational 2025/26 campaign, registering 25 goals and 28 assists in 57 appearances across all competitions.

Speculation over his future intensified during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Real Madrid reportedly monitoring his situation closely.

Reports also suggested Olise requested talks with Bayern’s senior officials after the tournament to discuss his future.

Despite the rumours, Bayern have maintained that they have no intention of parting ways with the winger.

Instead, the Bundesliga champions are focused on tying him down to a new long-term contract and are prepared to raise his annual salary from €8 million to €14 million.

Former Bayern midfielder Lothar Matthäus has now reinforced the club’s position, insisting he does not expect Olise to leave the Allianz Arena this summer.

“Personally, I can understand someone wanting to play for Real Madrid. But Bayern won’t even consider negotiating. The headlines will only make them laugh.
“I haven’t heard anything sources in Spain or France. But I know what Bayern think about Olise. Bayern Munich isn’t considering selling Olise. They’re actually looking to renew his contract and increase his salary.”
