American online streamer, Darren Watkins Jr., better known as IShowSpeed, shared a memorable and humorous encounter Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola withTinubu, and his children during the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday.

The meeting took place in the VIP section of the stadium, where Seyi Tinubu, dressed in a Spain jersey, watched Spain edge Argentina 1-0 after extra time to lift the World Cup trophy.

Earlier in the day, IShowSpeed featured in the tournament’s closing ceremony, opening the pre-match entertainment with a performance of his latest single, World Cup (Champions), accompanied by drummers and dancers.

During his livestream from the final, a member of Seyi Tinubu’s entourage alerted the American content creator that the president’s son was seated nearby.

IShowSpeed walked over to greet the family, posed for photographs with the children and exchanged pleasantries with Seyi Tinubu.

“It is nice meeting you,” Seyi Tinubu told the American streamer after they shook hands.

Responding jokingly, IShowSpeed said, “Tell your dad to get me a Nigerian passport!”, drawing laughter from those around before he continued his livestream.

The light-hearted remark followed the YouTuber’s recent visit to Nigeria as part of his Speed Does Africa tour, during which he received an enthusiastic reception from fans.
