DHQ condoles Katsina over death of ex-general Abubakar, vows justice

The Defence Headquarters has paid a condolence visit to the Katsina State Government and the family of the late Major General Rabe Abubakar (retd.), describing his death as a painful loss to the Nigerian Armed Forces and the nation.

The delegation, led by the Chief of Administration (Army), Major General I.M. Abdullahi, visited Katsina on Sunday on behalf of the Chief of Defence Staff, General O.O. Oluyede, to commiserate with the bereaved family and the state government.

According to the DHQ, the visit was part of efforts to honour the late senior officer, who reportedly died following his abduction while in captivity.

Speaking during the visit at the family residence in Katsina, Abdullahi praised the late general’s decades of service to the country, describing him as a patriotic officer whose contributions would remain memorable.
