Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo and winger Femi Azeez have been among the early arrivals in the camp of the Super Eagles in London ahead of the 2026 Unity Cup, as head coach Éric Chelle begins preparations for the invitational tournament.
Okonkwo, who recently switched international allegiance from England to Nigeria, and Azeez are part of several fresh faces invited by Chelle for the competition.
Also in camp is Plymouth Argyle striker Owen Oseni, who is receiving his first senior call-up under the new coach.
Other foreign-based players already present include Terem Moffi, Tochukwu Nnadi, and Philip Otele, adding depth to the early arrivals as preparations gather pace.
On the local front, Chelle travelled to London with eight home-based players and members of his backroom staff.
The domestic contingent includes Junior Ayobami, Al-Ameen Tijani, Michael Atata, Adeoye Aderemi, Oputa Chibueze, Ighoke Obinna, Ocholi Elias, and Oyedokun Tosin, all of whom made the trip from Nigeria.
A further group of 14 players is still expected to report to camp, including captain Wilfred Ndidi and winger Moses Simon, as the squad gradually comes together.
The Super Eagles will hold their first training session later tonight at Cray Valley FC, Middle Park Avenue, London SE9 5HP, ahead of their semi-final clash against Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe, led by Kaitano Tembo, completed their first training session in Birmingham on Friday after arriving in the UK on Thursday and are expected to relocate to London on Sunday.
Nigeria will face Zimbabwe in the first semi-final at The Valley, Charlton Athletic’s home ground, on Tuesday, 26 May. India and Jamaica will contest the second semi-final on Wednesday, 27 May, with the final scheduled for Saturday, 30 May at the same venue.
