Zimbabwe’s national team, the Warriors, have made changes to their squad ahead of their Unity Cup semi-final clash against the Nigeria national football team.
Three players have been withdrawn from the squad for different reasons. Tinotenda Kadewere, who features for Greek Super League side Aris Thessaloniki F.C., is sidelined due to injury.
Defender Divine Lunga has been left out because of club duties, as he remains involved with Mamelodi Sundowns F.C. ahead of their CAF Champions League final second-leg fixture against Morocco’s AS FAR.
The third omission, Bill Antonio, requested to be excused from national team duty for personal reasons.
In response, Zimbabwe head coach Kaitano Tembo has drafted in Washington Navaya, Prosper Padera, and Isheanesu Mauchi as replacements for the trio.
The semi-final will take place at The Valley, home of Sky Bet Championship club Charlton Athletic F.C., on Tuesday, 26 May.
The winner of the encounter will advance to the Unity Cup final, where they will meet either India or Jamaica at the same venue on Saturday, 30 May.
