Derby County midfielder, David Ozoh, is currently awaiting clearance from the English Football Association to complete his international switch and represent Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
Born in Valencia, Spain, to Nigerian parents, Ozoh relocated to England at a young age, where he has since developed his football career.
The 20-year-old has previously featured for England at the U-18 level, earning five caps.
The central midfielder is being considered for inclusion in Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming Unity Cup later this month.
The Super Eagles are also scheduled to play additional friendly matches against Poland and Portugal in June as part of their preparations.
Ozoh is viewed as a potential replacement for Alex Iwobi, who is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury sustained while playing for Premier League side Fulham.
The promising youngster is on loan at Sky Bet Championship club Derby County from Crystal Palace, and has impressed with his performances this season, scoring two goals in 32 league appearances for the Rams.
