Super Eagles midfielder, Alhassan Yusuf, has earned a spot in Major League Soccer Team of the Week following his match-winning display for New England Revolution.
The Nigerian international scored the decisive goal in the Revs’ narrow 1-0 win against D.C. United at Gillette Stadium last weekend.
Yusuf has now taken his tally to two goals in six league appearances for the club this season, continuing his fine form.
The 25-year-old also impressed last term under Marko Mitrović, finishing the campaign with two goals.
This season, however, Yusuf has been deployed in a more advanced attacking role by New England Revolution, a move that appears to be paying off.
He contributed two goals and two assists for the side in the previous campaign.
New England Revolution currently sit eighth on the Eastern Conference table with nine points from six matches.
They will next face Columbus Rhode Island in a US Open Cup clash on Wednesday.
