Chelsea head coach, Liam Rosenior, has confirmed that Reece James will miss Tuesday’s Champions League second-leg clash against Paris Saint-Germain at Stamford Bridge.
The Chelsea captain, who has battled hamstring injuries throughout his career, has largely remained injury-free this season, featuring 36 times across all competitions.
Ahead of the tie with PSG, Rosenior said: “Reece, he’s felt something in his hamstring at the end of the Newcastle game.
“We don’t know the full extent of the injury, but he will be out for tomorrow’s game. It could be (serious). With a hamstring injury, it’s never great.
“Hopefully we can get him scanned and find out the full extent. Malo (Gusto) is ill today, so we’ll look at that tomorrow. With Filip (Jörgensen), he’s felt something in his groin, and we will get him scanned.”
