Two people sustained injuries in the early hours of Sunday after two trucks were involved in a collision at the Arepo Bridge section of the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.
The accident occurred around 4 a.m. and involved an empty American Cola truck and another truck belonging to Seaco.
Eyewitnesses said the impact left both vehicles obstructing part of the road, causing a traffic buildup along the busy expressway as motorists struggled to navigate the scene.
Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps arrived shortly after the crash and began efforts to clear the affected vehicles from the highway to restore the flow of traffic.
A witness, Mrs. Ibukun Victoria, said one of the drivers sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the second driver suffered minor injuries.
Another motorist who saw the accident blamed the crash on debris left on the road, which he said could have contributed to the collision.
