The Federal Government of Nigeria has hailed the issuance of a Full Business Case (FBC) Compliance Certificate for ASFAAR.NG, Nigeria’s new digital diplomatic and visa platform.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, praised the approval in a statement, calling it “a major step in modernising Nigeria’s diplomatic and migration systems.”
He said the platform developed under a Public-Private Partnership with GIIL Technology and Marketing Solutions had secured regulatory clearance from the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC).
“ASFAAR.NG is not just a tech upgrade but a strategic tool to protect Nigerians abroad and strengthen global trust,” he noted.
The system integrates data from the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), using biometrics and AI to verify applicants and detect fraud.
Tuggar added that the platform will help rebuild diplomatic confidence, enhance visa processing for partner countries, and support Nigeria’s security and travel oversight.
