The Kogi State Police Command has urged federal agencies operating in the state to deepen collaboration, particularly in intelligence sharing, as part of efforts to curb criminal activities and strengthen security.

The call was made by the Commissioner of Police in the state, Naziru Bello Kankarofi, during a courtesy visit by members of the Association of Federal Agencies, Kogi State Chapter, to the Police Command Headquarters in Lokoja.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Saliu Oyiza Afusat, the Commissioner stressed that addressing emerging security challenges requires collective action among security and government institutions.

According to him, no single agency can effectively combat crime without cooperation from others.

The Commissioner added that the Kogi State Police Command would continue to promote inter-agency partnerships aimed at improving operational coordination and presenting a united front against criminal elements.

“Under my leadership, the Command remains resolute in strengthening partnerships that promote peace, stability, and security in Kogi State,” he said.
