Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly turned down a bid from Chelsea for Super Falcons midfielder, Jennifer Echegini.
The English club aimed to strengthen their midfield with the dynamic playmaker, but PSG, determined to keep the 24-year-old at the Parc des Princes, rejected the approach, as confirmed by French journalist Benjamin Suarez of Le Parisien.
With the English transfer window closing on Tuesday, Chelsea are unlikely to pursue the player further.
Echegini, who joined PSG from Juventus in June 2024, has quickly become a central figure in the French side’s plans.
The former Arsenal talent is tied to a contract running until the summer of 2027, underscoring PSG’s commitment to retaining her.
The midfielder played a pivotal role for the Super Falcons in their victorious 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign, netting the decisive goal in the 3-2 win over hosts Morocco in the final.
