The Guild explained that the office will focus on preventing sexual harassment and ensuring safer working conditions across Nollywood.

“The office of the Special Adviser on Sexual Harassment is responsible for formulating and implementing policies that protect members, advocating safe and ethical work environments, and creating clear channels for reporting, investigating and resolving harassment-related cases within the Guild,” the AGN noted.

Describing the role as crucial to professionalism and accountability in the industry, the Guild said Dominic was selected based on her competence and experience.

“This position is critical to building a culture of respect, accountability and professional integrity within the Actors Guild of Nigeria,” the letter read, adding that her appointment reflects “her sound judgment, professional competence and relevant experience.”
