Former Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong, has officially joined Qatar Stars League side Al Ahli SC.
The 31-year-old defender made the switch from Saudi Arabia’s Al Kholood, where he featured in 49 matches and scored twice. Troost-Ekong has committed to the Doha-based club until June 2028.
Al Ahli confirmed the signing with a brief announcement on their official Instagram page, saying, “He’s here, he’s ready. Welcome to the club, William. Let’s make history together.”
Currently, Younes Ali’s side sit ninth in the Qatar Stars League standings with 15 points, four clear of the relegation zone. Al Ahli will be back in action on Saturday, 31 January, against Qatar SC.
